T-minus 5.5 hours until RiffTrax Live. I am definitely in the mood for some holiday cheer!

We've opted out of the drinks beforehand idea. Instead we are going to give ourselves a dinner out together as a reward for all of our hard work on Gremlins... which, btw, should be released as soon as the iRiff uploader is back up. We've got maybe 1-2 hours work left on the finishing touches, and she's all done!

Gremlins and RiffTrax Live

Scripting on Gremlins is Continuing in full force. We are on track to finish up our rough draft by the end of the weekend. Then it's just a few days to edit and we should be ready to record! Here's a little teaser for you...

Official Countdown to RiffTrax Live: 1 week and 5 days! We are still planning to go out for drinks or something beforehand, and would love for anyone who wants to, to join us. We will iron out the details and let everyone know, probably sometime next week.

Hor-RIFF-ic News.

Work on Gremlins continues at a somewhat slow pace. Thank god we gave ourselves plenty of time to finish this one. That furry little bastard is making it difficult. How am I supposed to make a joke when call i can think of is "awwwwwww".

October...

was an interesting and exciting month.

The excitement began with the Zombie Walk, which I've already raved about.

Things quickly turned south after that.  No doubt from being in such close proximity to so many people during the Zombie Walk, Gary managed to catch himself a bad case of Swine Flu.  He was quite ill for about a week.  And questions started to be raised if we would still be able to manage to get Halloween 3 hour before the holiday.

Things quickly turned around again after that.  Gary recovered almost as quickly as he got sick, and we were able to record on time, and actually end up releasing a day earlier than planned!

You can check out Halloween III: Season of the Witch here.

It's been a big success so far, and we've gotten lots of good feedback.

So now that crazy October is over... it's time to look to the future.

We agonized for awhile over what movie we wanted to release before christmas... we finally made a choice, we believe a good one, and are currently scripting GREMLINS!  Release will be before christmas, we're hoping sometime around the middle of december.

Speaking of December....

RiffTrax LIVE: Christmas Shorts-Stravaganza!

Tickets already purchased!  Now the long wait.

We did want to mention one thing... we had a few people contact us and wanted to get together for the encore of the first rifftrax live show, which we were unfortunately unable to attend.  So if anyone wants to get together with the Slashers for a drink or some brains before/after the show on 12/16, please let us know and we'll work something out!

DM Zombie Walk '09

This last Saturday, Gary put on his best Zombie make-up, and joined Erin in Des Moines' first Zombie Walk!

It was a huge success. There were almost 100 zombies there. We had an awesome time.

You can check out some pictures we took on our Myspace or Facebook.

Or here's a couple videos...

Walk like a Zombie...

In November of 2008, Erin Slasher, Zombie Extraordinaire, bursts onto the scene with Hor-RIFF-ic Productions first iRiff release.

Not quite 12 months later the city of Des Moines, Erin hometown, is hosting its first Zombie Walk.

Coincidence? You be the Judge!

The Zombie Walk is going down this Saturday (10/17) at 2pm in downtown Des Moines. Be there, or risk total brain consumption.

More info here... http://dmzombiewalk2009.wordpress.com/

(And in regards to shameless self-promotion, We may need your help in passing around a few flyers to inform my fellow zombies of our humble little operation. Anyone willing to volunteer will get a free track of their choice).

See you there!

For god's sake, DON'T GO INTO THE LIGHT!

Luckily, our new iRiff track for POLTERGEIST is 100% light free! (give or take)

You can check it out at Rifftrax.com.

a quick update

Hope everyone has had a chance to check out The Stuff.  It may be the best bad movie ever, and I strongly believe everyone must see it!  It's available for rent on netflix, so really, there's no excuses!

I'm currently working on the finishing touches for Poltergeist, and it should be up later today.

Finally... we are currently accepting scripts for our next fan submission track... FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 4!  That's right, we're opening up the famous franchise for your jokes!  Nows the chance to take any jabs at that hack Jason that you've been wanting us to say for the last couple movies.  We are accepting entries until Nov. 1st.
